Lisa Feldman Barrett is a Canadian-American psychologist renowned for her groundbreaking research in affective science. She is a University Distinguished Professor at Northeastern University, where she co-directs the Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory. She also holds appointments at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Barrett鈥檚 theory of constructed emotion challenges traditional views, proposing that emotions are not universal but culturally constructed by the brain. She has published more than 275 papers and authored influential books like 鈥How Emotions are Made鈥 and 鈥淪even and a Half Lessons About the Brain".
