The rent is SEK 4403-4576 per month depending on the corridor type, see below.

Corridors

We offer rooms in two different types of corridors;

• KI Housing corridor (all students are KI Housing tenants): SEK 4576 per month 
• SSSB corridor (corridor with KI Housing tenants and SSSB tenants): SEK 4403 per month 

Accommodation details

Furniture

• Furnished with a single bed (size 90x200 cm), desk, bookshelf, chair and two lamps
• The bed is equipped with mattress, pillow (size 150x200 cm) and quilt (size 50x60 cm)

The tenant is responsible for keeping the room and its furniture clean during the whole lease and for leaving them clean for the new tenant.

Deficiencies regarding the inventory must be reported to the KI Housing office. When a student is leaving, damaged and/or missing items will be replaced and charged to the tenant.

Bedlinen

Please note that you need to bring your own bed linen and towels!

Internet

Internet is provided by the landlord SSSB. Broadband is installed and a LAN cable is provided in each room (you may have to buy an adapter if your computer does not have a LAN port). There is no WiFi in the building. If you want to have wireless internet, you must buy your own router.

To use the internet service you must follow this internet guide and register on a portal provided by Telenor. 
Please note that several tenants have had problems with registering from time to time, and sometimes it can take up to several weeks to get it fixed. If you experience problems, please submit a maintenance request in . A mobile broadband can be bought in any 7-eleven or Pressbyrån store if you need internet access before the problem has been solved.

Common kitchens

There is a kitchen in each corridor with stoves, refrigerator and freezer. The kitchen is furnished with tables and chairs. Every student has one cupboard, one shelf in the fridge and half a shelf in the freezer.

The kitchens in KI Housing corridors have basic kitchen equipment (such as microwaves, hot water kettles, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutlery). The tenants in SSSB corridors are responsible for bringing their own kitchen utensils (however, sometimes kitchen utensils are left by previous tenants but we cannot guarantee it).

Common areas – code of conduct

Anyone using the common kitchens is responsible for keeping them clean and leaving them in good order after use. Please see the information about rules and regulations that you as a tenant must follow and refer to.

TV

The dorm rooms are not equipped with TV-sets.

Cleaning equipment

Vacuum cleaner, mop and pail are provided in KI Housing corridors. 
No cleaning equipment is available in SSSB corridors.

Garbage disposal

You can throw domestic waste in any of the three waste containers by the parking lot, outside of Emmylundsvägen 3. Domestic waste should be thrown in tightly sealed plastic bags.

There is a recycling station for glass, metal, newspapers and cardboard outside Emmylundsvägen 3 and beside the building at Emmylundsvägen 1. For most types of cans and bottles bought in Sweden you receive a refund at the grocery stores.

The entrance of the facility for bulky garbage is found on the front of Emmylundsvägen 3.

Laundry room

The laundry room is located on the ground floor. Use your electronic key for booking and entering the laundry room.

Electronic key system

The common areas (e.g. the laundry room, kitchen and entrance) are fitted with electronic key tag readers for a safer living environment and to reduce the risk of vandalism. All use of electronic key tags is registered and SSSB may make use of this information in connection with acts of e.g. vandalism in the property. SSSB can also block an electronic key tag in case you lose it, thereby preventing unauthorized entry. Each electronic key tag is personal. Never exchange keys with your neighbor or lend one to someone not authorized to use it since you will be held responsible if anything should happen.

Mailboxes

The mailboxes are located beside each corridor. Note that you must buy a padlock for your mailbox as the mailboxes are equipped with padlock fittings. If you want to buy your padlock in Sweden, they can be found in a number of stores, such as hardware stores and larger grocery shops.

If you receive a parcel too large to fit in the mailbox, you will get a notification from the post office telling you where to pick up the parcel.

Bike storage

There is a bicycle room in each building (at Emmylundsvägen 1 and 3).

Smoke detectors

The rooms are equipped with smoke detectors. KI Housing checks the detector between tenants and the tenant is responsible for notifying us of any deficiency of the detector during the tenancy. If you hear a beeping sound, the battery of the detector needs to be exchanged. Please remove it and submit a maintenance service request in the .

Fire safety

Every single room, common kitchen and common corridor in Pax is a separate fire cell. To prevent spreading of any smoke or fire, all doors must be kept closed. It is the responsibility of every tenant to see to that the doors are kept closed.

Location

How to get here from the central station

Take the subway from T-Centralen, the blue line towards Akalla/Hjulsta. Get off at Västra Skogen.* Walk over the square towards the walking paths/cycle ways where you can see the sign “Studentbostäder”.

If you take the path that goes along the road, you will see Pax on your left hand side (a yellow brick building).

How to get to KI Campus Solna

The KI Campus in Solna is located about 3 kilometers from Pax. You may take bus No 507 towards “Odenplan” from Västra Skogen. Get off at “̽����ѡ Biomedicum”.* The travel time is about 15 minutes.

How to get to KI Campus Flemingsberg

You may choose between the following alternatives:

– Go to the KI Campus in Solna. From there you may take the (only on weekdays). The journey from KI Campus in Solna to Flemingsberg takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on the traffic situation.

– Take the subway from Västra Skogen towards Kungsträdgården. Get off at T-Centralen where you will be able to take the commuter train towards Södertälje. Get off at Flemingsberg.* You may walk to the KI Campus Flemingsberg from the station “Flemingsberg” (about 600 meters). The average travel time from door to door is about 50-55 minutes.
