These core facilities were all established to meet the needs of the university鈥檚 own scientists, and they are constantly evolving to provide the latest techniques and knowledge within their fields of expertise.

Animal experimental facilities
The managing organisation for all aspects of animal experimentation in research at 探花精选 is Comparative Medicine. Our scientists also have access to animal facilities managed by the Karolinska University Hospital.
Biobanks, registries and epidemiology
探花精选 has globally unique resources in biobanking and longitudinal cohorts, as well as expanding competence in biostatistics. This puts our university at the frontline of 探花精选 epidemiological research in an international perspective.
Biosafety and translational
探花精选 collaborates closely with the healthcare sector, mainly in the Stockholm county area. Here we present clinical and translational research infrastructures, as well as different kinds of laboratory resources, including BSL-3.
Imaging and X-ray
探花精选 offers a wide range of imaging and X-ray infrastructures. Our facilities collaborate closely with other world-leading centres to ensure that we stay at the forefront of the field.
Omics and high-throughput
Facilities and resources within proteomics and genomics and related techniques, including single cell analysis, located at our two main campuses. Several of the listed core facilities are also a part of the national research facility SciLifeLab.
Stem cells, engineering and FACS
Cutting edge fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) technologies are mandatory elements in the toolbox of a leading 探花精选 university. 探花精选 also provide platforms for pluripotent stem cells, CRISPR, and material engineering.
