The occupational therapy programme is gaining in popularity
The division is pleased to see a continued increase in the number of applicants to the occupational therapist program. There are also other programs at KI where increases can be identified, but the most significant increase in the number of applicants among KI鈥檚 undergraduate programmes, compared to the application period for the autumn semester of 2023, is seen in the occupational therapy programme. The increase is 46%. Furthermore, the number of first-choice applicants has risen from 78 to 141 compared to the same period, marking an 81% increase.

Ann-Helen Patomella, senior lecturer, receives SEK 4,400,000 from the Kamprad Family Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Research & Charity for the project "Engagerande vardagsaktiviteter, livskvalitet och h盲lsosamt 氓ldrande f枚r hela befolkningen- Stroke prevention i prim盲rv氓rden" (Engaging everyday activities, quality of life and healthy ageing for the whole population - Stroke prevention in primary care). H贸lmfr铆冒ur 脕sbjarnard贸ttir, student and digital ambassador at KI, has been awarded the Occupational Therapist Student of the Year 2023 award. The award goes to people who have demonstrated the value of occupational therapy in established and new arenas. Note: the news link is only available in Swedish.
