Webinar on "Clinical Treatment Studies" with Cancerfonden, 7 April 2025
On April 7th 2025, Cancer Research KI is organizing a joint webinar with the Swedish Cancer Foundation (Cancerfonden) to highlight clinical researchers who have received grants within the Clinical Treatment Studies (Kliniska behandlingsstudier) call.

Cancer Workshop for Patient Organisations 2025
Together with RCC Stockholm-Gotland, Cancer Research KI at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ is organizing the seventh cancer workshop for patient organizations.
The workshop will be held online on April 10th (13:00-14:35). During the event, participants will gain insights into cutting-edge research in the cancer field, this year with a special focus on cancers common in women.
Speakers: Renske Altena, Marike Gabrielson, Yvonne Wengström and Hanna Milerad.

Radiotherapy Workshop with the National Institute of Oncology Budapest
Save the date for the second radiotherapy workshop in Stockholm within the framework of the "twinning agreement" between KI and NIO. The workshop will cover radiotherapy (RT) related research ongoing at Karolinska University Hospital, KI and NIO. It will cover several topics such as brachytherapy, SBRT, clinical RT trials and preclinical RT research.

7th Cancer Swedish Research Meeting in Malmö
Register for the up-coming Swedish Cancer Research Meeting 22-23 May 2025 in Malmö!
The meeting is open to all clinical, preclinical researchers and others with an interest in cancer research from the organizing universities.
The four keynote speakers are Douglas Hanahan, Jana de Boniface, Anna Blom, and Julian Downward. The meeting hosts plenary sessions on the themes: Immunotherapy, Prevention and Biomarker Implementation.
Abstract submission deadline: The deadline for abstract submission is 14th March 2025.

Welcome to a lecture by this year's Sjöberg Laureate chemist Kevan M. Shokat from the USA. Ten years ago, he became the first person to succeed in blocking one of the mutated proteins that cause most cancer cases. This is a huge scientific breakthrough that is bringing hope to people who are critically ill with lung cancer.

KI-Mayo Seminars and Workshops 2021
In 2019, the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ and Mayo Clinic celebrated 25 years of fruitful scientific collaboration and exchange. As part of this collaborative effort seminars and workshops will be held periodically in order to inform our cancer research community of ongoing/future work as well as grant announcements, 'match' researchers for specific grant calls and much more!

First Mayo Clinic Cancer Center and Cancer Research KI joint symposium 2021
On the 13th January 2021, at 15.00-18.00 (Swedish time), Mayo Clinic Cancer Center and Cancer Research KI held our first joint symposium to inform respective cancer research communities about ongoing breast cancer research. The purpose of this event is also for researchers in the breast cancer area to meet as well as to stimulate collaboration in this area between KI and Mayo Clinic Cancer Center.

Translational Seed Funding Grant 2021
Cancer Research KI hereby announces up to six project grants in cancer research to foster novel collaborations between basic and clinical scientists to address important problems in the area of translational cancer research. Deadline 16th April 2021.
