I completed my doctoral degree in 2014 at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm (KTH), with a focusing on perceptual consequences of misarticulated speech in children – how these children’s speech is perceived by adult listeners and by the children themselves.

Apart from my M.Sc degree in SLP, I also have a M.Sc degree in computational linguistics.

My research concerns children's speech and language disorders, with a specific focus on everyday consequences, for example, in terms of making oneself understood, and participating in communication. This has been the focus in the (now finished) project Functional consequences of misarticulation in children's continuous speech. In the project (project web page in Swedish), we explore how speech/language intervention affects language functioning and communication in daily life for children with developmental language disorder (DLD).

I also have a background and interest in speech technology, and particularly, how it can be used in speech-language therapy and research. In , I collaborate with other Nordic colleagues in the development of a speech-training app, intended for use for learners of the Nordic languages, as well as for children with speech sound disorder (SSD).
