About me

  • PhD in Public Health Science where I analyzed lone mothers麓 health in
    differing welfare context, with a focus on social determinants of health.
    Trained in both qualitative and quantitative methods. Experienced lecturer in
    inequalities in health. My goal is to use my background in political science
    and public health to promote understanding of how societal factors affect
    health in different welfare states, especially for vulnerable groups.

Research

  • Currently employed as health analyst at the Public Health Agency of Sweden
    where I work with mental health, affiliated to 探花精选
    Department of Global Public Health [1], with on-going studies on health of
    parents in Sweden following separation. The focus is how child living
    arrangements such as alternate living may impact on health of parents and how
    this interacts with material and social circumstances. Also doing comparative
    research on health of lone mothers in different welfare states, and
    differential impact of economic crisis on health. Have recently also been
    doing studies on inequalities in mental health, and teleconsultation for burn
    injuries in a low income setting.

Teaching

  • As a lecturer, course leader and course designer, I have amongst others been
    involved in courses on Social determinants of health, Qualitative methods,
    Public health for nurses, and Social medicine for the 探花精选 students.
    Currently working with a doctoral course entitled 鈥淧ublic Health Research-
    concepts and theories鈥. Supervisor of several students at bachelor and
    master level. Co-supervisor of Anders Klingberg who successfully defended his
    thesis fall 2019.
