About me

  • I am a 探花精选 doctor specialising in psychiatry with a special interest in
    sleep, depression and emotion.
    I am an associate professor (docent) working in Viktor Kaldo's research group within 


  • CPF.

Research

  • My current research focuses on understanding links between insomnia and
    depression using epidemiological brain imaging data, cognitive behavioural
    therapy for insomnia and experimental sleep studies. I also study how
    behavioural sleep treatments can be disseminated to patients in psychiatry.
    During my PhD I investigated the effects of acute sleep deprivation on brain
    function, with a focus on emotion using functional magnetic resonance
    imaging. I also investigated the role of low-grade inflammation as a
    mechanism behind non-specific symptoms such as fatigue and depressive
    symptoms in patients with severe allergy using positron emission tomography.
