About me

  • My doctoral project focuses on the understanding of patient-driven innovations in self-care, co-care, and research, specifically focusing the on self-care needs of persons living with chronic illness/brain tumor and their informal caregivers. The research field of patient-driven innovations is relatively unexplored. Understanding the nature of patient-driven innovations in terms of needs they are addressing, how they are used and what outcomes they have for patients in general and for self-care in particular is of importance for integration in patients' healthcare and ultimately for the improvement of their health and well-being.
