I completed my PhD at Department of Medicine, Clinical Epidemiology Division at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ 2022. My doctoral research focused on reappraisal of labor duration and current defintions of normal progression. The research aim to investigate the balance between necessary and unnecessary interventions during labour in the pursuit of a future clinically and pshycologically safe enviroment for women and infant. All four studies was quantative data from the Stockholm- Gotland obstetric database linked health and other databases.

My clinical work is mainly based in the delivery ward, working clinically as  a midwife since 2007. Along with my research I have a position as Vice
President for the Swedish Midwifery Association.

I have a Post doc position at Clinical Epidemiology Division, where I  focus my research on the effect of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ interventions during labors and
shortterm and longterm outcomes in offspring, using national health databases. I am also involved in a Randomized trial with the aim to test a new tool for labor monitoring, WHO Labor Care Guide. Picrino trial. Along with collaborators at Stockholms University I am in involved in a research project ifocusing on inequality and racism within maternity care in Sweden. Furthermore, I do research on a continuity care model during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum, caseload midwifery-Min BM at Karolinska Sjukhuset. Along with my research projects I have several expert assignments for the Swedish Midwifery Association, involving steering group of LÖF ( Sveriges kommuner och landstings Försäkringsbolag), Jämställdhetsmyndigheten, Socialstyrelsen.
