I am a Docent (Associate Professor) and Senior Researcher in Insurance Medicine with a research focus on sickenss absence in different life stages and occupations. I obtained my doctoral degree from Durham University, on the topic of changing welfare states and health inequalities.

My research interests are in the area of sickness absence, specifically sickness absence among people of higher ages in the workforce, psychosocial work environment and sickness absence, as well as sickness absence among white-collar and blue-collar workers, in general and in the retail and wholesale industry.
