The projects included in my PhD cover different aspects of tuberculosis treatment. My first study looked at new treatment options against MDR-TB, in particular new combinations of beta-lactam antibiotics with beta-lactamases. An ongoing project is a qualitative study where we have developed a patient education film regarding TB infection and evaluated it in conjunction with patients. Another project is a registry-based cohort study evaluating risk factors for unsuccessful treatment outcome among people with TB disease in Sweden.
