About me

  • Dorian Kern, PhD, is a licensed psychologist with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the development of digital interventions for chronic somatic conditions. He received his doctorate from ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ in 2024 with the dissertation "Psychological self-care in chronic conditions: development of digital interventions for type 1 diabetes and atopic dermatitis". Dorian has clinical experience in CBT treatment for a range of somatic diseases. He has also been involved in several published and ongoing clinical studies investigating internet-based CBT for atopic dermatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, atrial fibrillation, gambling addiction, alcohol abuse, among others.

Teaching

  • Has been an examining teacher on the psychology program and the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ program +120 hours and also has a lecture on atopic dermatitis in the behavioral medicine course module on the psychology program.
