About me
Employed as a PhD student at the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NASP) at the department of Learning, Informatics, Management, and Ethics.
Research: Investigating the psychological, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive effects of artificial blue light, with a specific focus on its potential role in railway suicide prevention. Limited research from Japan suggests that blue LED lights may help reduce suicides at railway platforms. Several countries have since implemented this technology, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unknown. This project seeks to bridge that knowledge gap through experimental and observational studies. The findings will ideally provide a stronger foundation for decision-makers considering large-scale implementation while also identifying ways to enhance its effectiveness for suicide prevention or applications in other public spaces.
