About me

  • Charlotta Nilsen, Ph.D., is currently working as a researcher at the Stress
    Research Institute at Stockholm University and a senior lecturer at the
    Institute of Gerontology at Jönköping University but is also an affiliated
    researcher in ARC’s social gerontology group. Charlotta's primary research
    interests include social gerontology and occupational epidemiology, and she
    defended her thesis with the title: “Can psychosocial working conditions
    contribute to healthy and active aging?” in 2018. She is or has been
    involved in research projects related to predictors of active aging, risk
    factors of dementia, sense of coherence, leisure and social participation in
    solitary living older adults, and consequences of working conditions on
    health and function after retirement.
