My research focuses on investigating the acute and chronic effects to breath-holding as well as the independent, interactive and iterative effects of environmental stressors (e.g., increased [hyperbaric compressed gas diving and breath-hold diving] and reduced [hypobaric high-altitude flying] ambient pressure, inspiration of varied gas mixtures [hypercapnic, hyperoxic, hypoxic] and varied ambient air and water temperatures), on physiological responses in healthy humans.
