About me

  • Employment at Child and Adolescence Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Stockholm County since 1992 (BUP Stockholm). Specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry since 1997. Affiliated with Department of Research and Development at CAMHS (BUP FoU) as well as an adjunct lecturer at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡.

    Clinical work mainly in inpatient care, child and adolescent psychiatry ER, neuropsychiatric outpatient clinic, and consultation & liaison services at the pediatric and adolescent medicine department at Sachsska Children's Hospital. Alongside clinical work, always involved in education and teaching.

    Process owner for suicide prevention for children and adolescents within Department of Psychiatry in Stockholm County, (VO Psykiatri, SLSO). Mainly working with teaching, supervision, and research in suicide prevention.

     

    2023 Role model of the year in child and adolescent psychiatry (awarded by SFBUP).

    2024 Mats Halldin's award for significant educational contributions in clinical healthcare.

Research

  • Doctor of Medicine degree in 2012, "On the Children's Global Assessment Scale, CGAS, " which resulted in a digital training reached at www.cgas.se on how to use the CGAS assessment tool.

    Developing a digital training primarily for ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ students how to identify and take care of suicidal children and adolescents together with Josefin Ivarson, a doctoral student and resident physician at BUP Stockholm County. The training program is being evaluated in a research project.

     

Teaching

  • Physical Education Teacher degree from the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH) in 1983.

    Several assignments as an assistant teacher during the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ program, teaching assignments in various ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ subjects outside of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡.

    Responsible for teaching child and adolescent psychiatry at Sachsska Children's Hospital, ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ program term 10 at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, 2001-2005.

    Director of Studies for BUP resident physicians, 2006-2013.

    Director for child and adolescent psychiatry in the ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ program at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, 2022-2023.

    Has taught in several programs (nursing, psychology, speech therapy, medicine) as well as for staff groups (CAMHS, pediatric medicine, primary care, school health, social services) both in Stockholm and other parts of the country.

    Currently focusing on teaching suicide prevention, including the development of digital training primarily for ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ students. This work is carried out together with Josefin Ivarson, a doctoral student and resident physician at BUP Stockholm.
